I've come to the conclusion that we should forget about Bush, Blair, Iraq, Taksin, Rupert Murdoch, the cynicism of politics and big business, the dirty medicine of the pharmaceuticals, the killings in Naples and Nepal, television's exploitation of man's inhumanity to man, how we are polluting our beautiful planet. All these things are a focus on the 'shadow' side of life where darkness reigns supreme and the collective unconscious is the order of the day. The media and the politicians want us to focus on this dark aspect of life in order to frighten us so that then we will rely on them to keep us safe and secure. That is how they win our votes and sell their newspapers, believing us to be frightened sheep. And that is why, in the more aware societies, less and less of us are voting for their outdated, self-serving political parties. We are able to see through their simplistic cynicism and their hunger for power; we are fed up with the negative side of the coin.
Instead, let us focus on the positive, on the light that shines. We march for peace and not against war, we work for our passion and not for money, we create environmentally friendly homes, we buy cars that pollute as little as possible and use them only when necessary, we only vote for politicians who want to help the people and favour peace at all costs, we use natural, preventative , non-invasive medicine and therapy as far as possible, we take charge of our own health and well-being and live with love, compassion and consideration for others, we only support the positive media (eg. 'Positive News', www.worldchanging.org).
We accept that there is duality but we focus on the positive side of the coin and treat the negative side with openness and a light heart. For example, instead of focusing on how dreadful the ecological state of our planet is, we take the positive route and do everything we can to live an environmentally friendly lifestyle. We don't let the negative thinking get to us: we live simply in a sustainable way!

the first words
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my new blog. My name is Wrio Russell and I am a therapist and a teacher of Reiki healing. I am starting up this blog so that I can share thoughts and ideas on health, healing and generally looking after our well-being in this world of extreme duality.
I live in Thailand in the winter months and, for the rest of the year, in Italy, in the hills behind Piacenza. Yes, I've chosen two of the most beautiful countries in the world to do my teaching and treating... wonderful. However, I must also say that I come originally from the United Kingdom and I have also been blessed with all the good things that country can offer me. Now, it is time to move on. Life is about impermanence, after all, and I am now following where, and the universe, is leading me. I hope that along the way we'll meet and share a little of what there is to share.
As well as offering my therapy treatments and Reiki teaching, we are also starting up a nursing and childcare service, so in the future I will also put out some thoughts on that. However, for now that's enough.
wishing you peace, light and joy,
Wrio
